Maps and Parking at UCSB

Conference Parking

We recommend that conference participants park in Lot 22 (See UCSB Campus Map).

On campus parking rates are $3.00 per evening/weekend day,  $8.00 per week day. All vehicles parked on campus must display a valid campus parking permit. The only exception is the metered spaces.

University of California campuses offer reciprocity to faculty and staff for parking permits. This is valid for no more than five consecutive days. Your vehicle must have your parking permit displayed in the lower left hand corner of the windshield.

If a conference participant is travelling in a vehicle without a permit (e.g., a rental vehicle), and you are currently a parking permit holder on another UC campus, you may obtain a complimentary parking permit from Parking Services (open Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). Because the Parking Services Office is closed on the weekend, you will need to pay $3.00 at the parking machines on Sunday, July 20. Starting Monday, you may visit the Parking Services Office in Lot 30 and show your UC ID, plus proof of payment for your home campus parking permit (e.g., pay stub with line item payment stating parking payment), to receive free parking at UCSB for the remainder of your stay (up to 5 days).

Santa Rosa Lodging Parking

Conference participants will receive a 60-minute unloading permit in the lodging confirmation that is emailed to them 2-4 weeks prior to the conference.  You will need to print out this permit and place it in the lower left hand corner of your windshield.  It will allow you to park anywhere except for metered and handicapped spaces for up to one hour while you check in at the Santa Rosa front desk, collect your complimentary long-term parking permit (included in your on-campus lodging fees), and register for the conference.

The parking lot designated for UCCSC participants lodging in Santa Rosa will be specified a few weeks prior to the conference.
