Internet Access at UCSB

All conference participants will receive network access credentials at registration. Credentials will be used for wireless access to the UCSB Residential Network while in the residence halls and dining commons, and to the UCSB Wireless Web or the University Center Wireless network while in the meeting rooms.

A Residential Network Service Center is available for support:  For minor problems that you think can be handled on the phone, call the ResNet Service Center at 805-893-8777 (hours are weekdays, 4:00-8:00 PM / Saturdays and Sundays, 11:00-3:00 PM.  Most problems can be solved over the phone, but they will also make “house calls” if necessary.

There are also several "open access" computer stations in the University Center, as follows:

  • Two computer stations in the Rotunda Entrance.
  • Eight computer stations in the Main Lobby, across from Nicoletti’s.
  • Fourteen computer stations on the third floor in the Computer Lounge (access to the stairs from the Main Lobby).

This information will be included together with your network access credentials in the Conference registration packets you receive when you check in.
