Mike Merrill is Senior Brand Manager of Dell, Inc. and leads the Software and Peripherals business for Education. At Dell, Mike recently participated in launching Dell's Intelligent Classroom, a combination of computers and related technology such as projectors and cameras that together transform the traditional K-12 and higher education classrooms into high-tech, interactive learning centers.

Prior to Dell, Mike held various roles in product management and product marketing for two venture-backed software startups, Alventive, Inc. and Tonic Software, developing web-based collaboration and systems management solutions.

Mike spent five years in Operations Management with Intel® and participated in the formal launch of the Pentium® II Processor. While at Intel, Mike developed his love of teaching as a member of Intel University teaching such courses as Situational Leadership® II, Effective Meetings, and facilitating Intel's management development program, "Managing Through People".

Mike pursued his MBA at Michigan Business School and holds undergrad degrees in Finance and Accounting from New Mexico State University, where he was a Crimson Scholar.
